Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the 'Magnetostatic field generated by a permanent magnet' example (  docu.ngsolve.org/latest/i-tutorials/unit...Maxwell/Maxwell.html  )
  • Most important: Which units do these maxwell tutorials use? E.g. unit each for relative permeability, magnetization and B field?
  • If we use a N50 neodymium magnet, what values should we use for mur and mag in the code from the example attached?

    Kind regards,
    Daan

quick answer: everything is in SI units

longer answer:
NGSolve  doesn't specify the units, they just have to match.
You may use meters, inches, light-years,... for the geometry, and have to specify the coefficients and sources accordingly
